William Tonnesen - Landscape Architect and Entrepreneur
William Tonnesen is a registered Landscape Architect and founding principal at Tonnesen Inc., an Arizona-based Design-Build company specializing in property renovation. In addition, William Tonnesen and his wife Pilar Tonnesen own Tortosa Rentals, a portfolio of eight single homes, four townhomes, and ten multi-family properties and Mom and Dad Lending. As the founder of Tonnesen Inc and co-founder with his wife Pilar Tonnesen of Tortosa Rentals and Mom and Dad Lending., Mr. Tonnesen has purchased and renovated properties and lent money for over three decades. His long-time friend, Architect Eddie Jones of Jones Studio, has been an inspiration. Their adult children Pau Tonnesen, Gaspar Tonnesen and Cinta Tonnesen have joined the family business.
Mr. Tonnesen has executed notable projects, such as the Can Pilar Project, which combines three properties three blocks South of the ASU Art Museum in Tempe, Arizona. Moreover, Mr. Tonnesen co-founded Mom and Dad Lending, a personal equity fund. He and his wife underwrite the firm’s loan requests. Mr. Tonnesen believes that he has entered the phase of sharing expertise.
